Update: 09/26/11: We have finished our first beta tests. Thanks to all of you who provided valuable feedback. Although many of you use Paperpile successfully on a daily basis, we were not entirely happy with the overall experience in particular under Windows. That's why we decided to discontinue updates on the current released version and focus on a new product that provides an optimal experience for all our users.
We will announce any updates on our mailing list (sign up here: paperpile.com)
Although not updated any more, the downloads will remain active so feel free to try Paperpile and send us your ideas/suggestions for your ideal reference manager.
Please post your ideas and questions in our Feedback forums,
or contact us at any time via e-mail
Although fully usable, this release is still a beta version so things might break. Please read the section "Known issues" and backup your library data (folder Library/Application Support/Paperpile on OS X and .paperpile on Linux.
Paperpile currently runs on 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard). Only 64bit architectures are supported at this time.
Paperpile will save your library data in Library/Application Support/Paperpile and your PDFs and supplementary files in Documents/Paperpile.
If you are upgrading from version 0.4.3 to 0.5 please backup your .paperpile folder first.
Paperpile will save your personal data in ~/.paperpile.
To install updates, go to the Dashboard, click "Check for updates" and follow the instructions.
You can un-install Paperpile at any time by deleting the installation directory.

A complete list of known bugs can be found here, but don't hesitate to submit bug reports to our forums or support@paperpile.com even though we might already have tracked it.
